Star Jones Talks Anderson, Oprah and Rocket-Ratings Plans…

Star Jones is speaking out about Anderson Cooper’s recent gay revelation, saying the CNN personality turned talk show host did so as part of a plan to boost his ratings.
That’s what the woman who once worked alongside Barbara Walters explained, during Thursday’s “Today Show” broadcast. But Jones didn’t just out Andy’s ratings-rocketing plans, she also exposed Oprah Winfrey as doing the same, saying the ‘Big O’ solely spoke to her television audience about her troubled youth all to boost her ratings too. “I’m a little bit of a cynic.I believe Cooper’s daytime show called Anderson needed a boost in viewers. He’s a daytime talk show host and when the rating slip in daytime, the hosts tend to tell you lots of things about them.”

Here’s what Star Jones had to say about Oprah Winfrey:

“Oprah Winfrey had made announcements about her past to attract viewers. I remember Oprah said she smoked crack, Oprah said she was pregnant at 14 and considered suicide. There are times when you generate information for ratings.”
