George Zimmerman Free Again on $1 Million Bond

George Zimmerman is free on bond for the second time since he was charged with the February murder of Trayvon Martin.
The Neighborhood Watch Volunteer was released from jail today, after posting a million-dollar bond. This after his previous $150K bond was revoked when he and his wife were caught lying to a judge about their finances.
Part of Zimmerman’s current bond restricts him to stay in Seminole County, Florida, subjects him to a curfew, bars him from the local airport and requires him to wear an electronic monitoring device. He’s also not allowed to apply for a passport or to drink alcohol.
Here’s what Judge Kenneth Lester, who is presiding over the Zimmerman case, had to say:
“It is entirely reasonable for this court to find that, but for the requirement that he be placed on electronic monitoring, the defendant and his wife would have fled the United States with at least $130,000 of other people’s money.”
Zimmerman’s legal team says the charged murderer was able to post bond with the help of $200K donated to him by the public.
