The newsman's Twitter account posted an offensive tweet this weekend regarding the Chicago-born rapper. The tweet read simply, "Fake a** n***a" and was directed at Berg. Rubin left the tweet on his page for hours before it was deleted--with the reporter's account posting a tweet thereafter claiming it was a mistake.
"OOPS....I will explain later. But, biggest boo boo of the year. For reals," the tweet read.
The tone of the tweets and the targeting of Yung Beg has led many to believe his account was hacked. Rubin himself posted a note saying he had no idea where the tweets came from.
"Pardon Friends, my twitter has clearly been hacked," the note read. "Will fix when I return home. Anyone who knows me knows I wouldn't tweet that phrase ever
