Will Smith Jealous of Jamie Foxx?

Will Smith may inhibit a hint of jealously when it comes to Oscar-winning actor, Jamie Foxx. That’s because sources say the one time ‘Prince of Bel Air’ says despite Quentin Tarantino’s casting of Jamie Foxx in his latest film ‘Django Unchained’, he was the original man meant for the role. In a recent interview Smith said even though he didn’t read for the part, Tarantino wrote the film with him in mind – adding he’s not part of the ‘Django Unchained’ cast by his own choice. That’s why Smith says Tarantino was forced to audition six other actors for the role. Here’s what Will Smith had to say: “I came really close, it was one of the most amazing screenplays I had ever ever seen. I was in the middle of ‘Men In Black 3‘ and Tarantino was ready to go, and I just couldn’t sit with him and get through the issues, so I didn’t want to hold him up. It is agenius screenplay.” Here’s what an insider had to say: “Will Smith is quietly jealous of Jaime Foxx. Jamie is a damn good actor and Will Smith knows this. Quentin didn’t write Django thinking about Will Smith. Quentin just wanted to write a good script. When Jamie read for the role, Quentin knew he was going to have a good film. Will is jealous of Jamie’s thunder. Jamie has a Oscar and Will doesn’t. It’s just like the rap game, Will has money but no street cred.”
